Custom Hand Painted Gold Accent Petite Chest

INSPIRATION PICTURE:

At Mallery Hall, everything we design is unique, and uniquely for you. No project is too big or too small. The possibilities are somewhat endless!

Our client, was interested in the chest pictured above, however she wanted it in a smaller size (28W x 18D x 32H) instead of the regular size from the imported chest that we imitated which was (34W x 48H x 18D. NO PROBLEM! We hand made an almost exact replica in her desired size with solid Alder-wood and a similar finish as shown. This chest is hand carved and solid wood, no appliques where used.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS:

For a smooth design process this is what we request of our clients:

• To the best of your ability, please explain in detail the item you are looking for. You can provide a picture or a drawing, this would be the best start
• Then be as detailed as possible with your dimensions and the features you need, and include any other details on how you will be using your item that will assist in your design
• We also like to share wood and fabric samples so try to be as clear as possible on the finish and finish styles that you are looking for.
• We use Sherwin Williams, Duron and Benjamin Moore paints. These stores are convenient to most of our customers and provide a good starting point on finishes and stains. Then after picking the best finish or color choice, Mallery Hall  will provide a wood sample for your approval.

HAND CARVED MAHOGANY:

We use custom shops in Vietnam, Peru, Mexico, and the Philippines. Our authentic hand carved items speak “heirloom” quality and also give our customers custom options. Basic hand tools (gouge, cutting knife, mallets, coping saw, carving knifes, and chisels) are used by our artisans, to provide unique character to every carving project.

OUR FINISHED PRODUCT:

This chest was made in our custom shop in Mexico out of solid alder wood, hand carved and hand painted to match the finish she wanted to replicate. We used a multi-layer paint finish with real gold leaf gilt accents & antique brass pulls. Mallery Hall guarantees a 100% satisfaction. Our client was ecstatic about this petite chest.
